• To begin the process of metal art sculpture, the artist first visualizes his design, often taking inspiration from his culture and natural surroundings. Next, he chalks his vision for the piece onto a 55-gallon drum that has been cleaned and pounded flat. Then, using only a hammer and chisel, he performs the heavy work giving his piece form and dimension. The result is a unique folk art sculpture, perfect for home or garden use.
• These winged hearts hang easily with a single nail pounded into the hole provided at the top.
• These sculptures have been clear coated to protect them from the elements. If they are going to be part of the indoor decor, they will stay just fine - pretty much forever. If they are outside and exposed, they will rust over time. If that's not the look you want and you can head it off, by simply applying a spray-on enamel once a year. It's a snap!
