I am Jhonson Aurustin. I speak Creole and am born in December 1971. I was at school but I saw that it was hard for me to learn. I began my study of metal work with the master Serge Jolimeau. I began to learn how to make designs at Serge Jolimeau's workshop. I kept making effort one day the ambassador of Chile visited my shop and saw my works are nice and he invited me to attend a fair in Chile in 2004. I went back in 2005 for the same reason. There were 32 countries to attend the fair and Haiti won the first prize through me.
I hire several people in my workshop and also I help other people like brothers and sisters. Anything you do in this work you recieve money. My sisters sand and varnish the pieces for me. There is an orphange in Croix-Des-Bouquets when I sell my products I give a percentage 5 per cent to this orphanage.
