Overview
To create tin art the artist begins by drawing or etch the figure onto the thin sheet of tin using a pattern or template and, starting at the edges, begin to cut out the profile of the figure with long shears. They then use pliers and fine quality tools to create patterns and shapes in the tin. Afterwards, the piece takes on a life of its own as it is hand-painted in vibrant, vivid colors.

These beautiful and brightly painted tin pieces make a great gifts. The decorative painted tin items are all hand cut, hand punched, hand etched and hand painted one at a time by Mexican metalcraft artisans.
