Make a Difference While Showing School Spirit
School spirit: It’s a phrase we hear a lot, but what is it really? It’s the sense of pride, identity, and community that students, teachers, administrators, staff, and parents share. It is more than just attending or knowning someone who attends a school; it is knowing that you are a part of something bigger, that you belong, and contributing to it. But it doesn’t end there. It is actually proven that a strong sense of school pride makes people more invested, which in turns makes them happier and motivates them to work harder.
But who can show school spirit? Everyone: whether it is because you are currently attending the school of your dreams or you’re a past alumni and have graduated, or maybe you work at a particular school and love the students or you’re a parent who has kids attending, the list goes on! Anyone and everyone can show their support! And the great thing is that there are hundreds of ways to show it, big and small. It can be anything from joining clubs, sports, activities, rallies, attending games/events to simply wearing your school colors with pride. The possibilities are endless.
So, why are we talking about this topic? Well, school pride is a big part of OUR lives as well. We have kids and friends who are very invested in their schools, and as their parents, we are too! We are in sports and leagues around town and love representing our teams! So we did the one thing that we thought we should do, we teamed up with our Guatemalan artists to make tassels, belts, and pom-poms perfect to show our school/team pride and we can’t wait to share them with you!
One thing we do believe, is that no matter what you do or how you do it, it always makes everything 100 times better if you are supporting a good cause! And that is where we really shine!
