Handmade in one of Haiti’s most creative cities Jacmel, these roosters are crafted using layers of recycled paper, paint, and pure imagination. Each one is unique — just like the artists who make them.
Jacmel a beautiful seaside town is one of the leading producers of paper mache in all of Haiti. The town of about 40,000 residents is famous for its arts and has dozens of studios and shops where papier-mâché is made, sold and celebrated especially during Haiti’s Carnival.
