Product Description
This one of a kind Mexican Milagro mirror, created in the late 1990s by acclaimed folk artist Ernesto Espinosa, is a striking example of traditional craftsmanship blended with artistic storytelling. Each mirror begins with a hand-tooled tin frame, which Espinosa embellishes with symbolic milagro charms, detailed repoussé metalwork, and four richly colored glass squares set in copper.
Milagros—small devotional charms used throughout Mexico—represent faith, gratitude, and protection, lending both cultural and spiritual depth to the design. The intricate patterns, celestial imagery, and organic hand-finished details are hallmarks of Espinosa’s work and ensure that no two mirrors are exactly alike.
Created during the late 1990s, this piece reflects a mature period of the artist’s work and is both a functional mirror and a collectible work of Mexican folk art. Ideal as a statement wall piece, entryway accent, or addition to a curated art collection.
