Handwoven Guatemalan Huipil – Lake Atitlán Region
This is a new, authentic huipil handwoven by artisans from around Lake Atitlán, Guatemala. It features a beautiful floral design around the neckline and a bird motif connecting the three woven panels—a traditional detail that makes this piece both unique and culturally rich.
-
Material: 100% cotton
-
Measurements: 28" wide x 28" long
-
Neck opening: 19"
Note on fit: Guatemalan huipils are traditionally woven with smaller neck openings. If the neckline feels too snug, you can simply cut a small slit along the shoulder side and finish it by embroidering the edges. This is a technique often used by Guatemalan women on their own huipils.
This piece can be worn as a blouse, tunic, or statement top, or even displayed as a textile art piece in your home. A true example of Mayan artistry and heritage.
