Vintage Handmade Guatemalan, Woven on a Back Strap Loom, Huipil from Tecpan
This huipil measures 30” across the shoulders, and 36″ from the neckline to the bottom edge. The neck opening is round shaped and each side measures 11”. It has a large hole on the right hand side and a slit in the front for breastfeeding a child or to use as a pocket. The arms and neck are lined with velvet. It is well loved and used but the weaving is amazing!
This huipil is beautiful with its multicolored, motifs found in the huipiles of Tenpan.
