Though many folk artists are not formally trained, some are. Gorky Gonzales is a superb ceramicist, and having received training in Guanajuato, Mexico as well as on scholarship in Japan.  His work is shown in museums and shows world-wide. Nevertheless, he uses techniques handed down through the generations to create his marvelous majolica pottery. Each piece here is signed by the artist, is lead and cadmium free and is dishwasher and food safe. DO NOT use for baking in the oven or microwave.
